Description
Acute Care Float RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Knoxville, Tennessee
- Acute care float assignment; staffing supervisor assigns the unit at the time of staffing
- Start date: ASAP
- Night shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Typical patient ratio: 1:6
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- On-call: not required
- Block scheduling: not accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Float (2 years of experience)
- Float experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Experience with Cerner
Assignment Areas
- May float to medical, surgical, trauma, observation, oncology, nephrology, orthopedics, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, cardiac surgery, and cardiac units
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify proof or attestation
- Background check
- Education verification
- NURSYS verification for RNs
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
- Tdap
- TB screening and TB questionnaire
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
- Drug screen with alcohol test
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption when applicable
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start
- Skills checklist
