Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Arlington, Virginia
13-week assignment
Night shift, 3x12s
Start date is ASAP, dependent on EPIC experience/training schedule

Unit Details

Emergency department in a Level II trauma center
Magnet-designated facility
Certified comprehensive stroke center with 24/7 interventional cardiology
Fast-paced ED with 65,000 annual visits
36-bed ED, including 8 express care beds
Cares for patients across the lifespan, from neonate to geriatric

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
TNCC
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule

6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

Flu vaccination is required during flu season; approved medical or religious exemptions may be allowed with supporting documentation
Government-issued photo ID
Proof of E-Verify or attestation
2 clinical references

Standard 7-year work history verification
7-year criminal background check

Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start
Fit test within the last 12 months
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
