Description

Pediatric ER

Overview

  • Travel/Contract assignment in Akron, Ohio
  • 13-week contract
  • Evening shifts available: 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 7p-7a
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling is not allowed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room (2 years of experience)
  • Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNOR preferred for OR
  • TNCC preferred for PICU and ER
  • PCAR preferred for PICU

Additional Notes

  • Magnet facility
  • Unit-specific competency exam required and must be updated annually
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for RNs
  • 7-year criminal background check required prior to start
  • Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint results required within 1 month of start; can start with results pending
  • Physical exam required within 12 months of start
  • Tdap required within 10 years of start
  • TB screening required within 30 days of start
  • Drug screen required within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
