Description

MS/Tele

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
13-week assignment.
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.
36 or 48 hours per week may be offered.
Locals are accepted.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
NIHSS.
2 years of orthopedic experience.
Orthopedics experience.
Unit will accept first-time travelers with EPIC experience.
IV start.
Telemetry.
Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
RTO after booking is not allowed.

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS.
Charge nurse experience.
Level I Trauma experience.

Unit Details

Orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patient population.
Average daily census: 37.
39 rooms / 39 beds.
Fast-paced unit focused on ortho and spine patients.
Expected ratio is 5-6:1, with possible flex to 7:1 in extreme cases.

Scheduling and Float

Every other weekend required.
Block scheduling may be available.
Travelers may be required to float to any other med surg unit within the facility based on staffing needs and census.

Additional Notes

No holiday RTO can be approved.
Up to 7 days of RTO is allowed for auto-offer consideration.
