Medical Surgical RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Burlington, North Carolina
29-bed unit
Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Every other weekend
No call
Float as needed
Charge RN shifts as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Experience in Charge roles
Driver's License
Experience with Epic

Unit Details

Provides care for adults through geriatrics
Patient population includes orthopedic and medical-surgical patients
Telemetry monitoring is available
Physical therapy gym on the unit
High-volume populations: total joint replacements, fracture repairs, kyphoplasties
Moderate-volume populations: other surgical procedures, inpatient patients, and 24-hour observation medical patients
