Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Unit Information

Operating Room with 815 beds in the hospital
Variable schedule with call required
May float to other departments
Documentation system: Cerner
Dress code: Scrubs provided by facility

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience in service lines including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn and trauma, and vascular surgery

Desired Skills and Experience

Broad surgical knowledge
Experience in multiple service lines including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
Advanced procedural skills relevant to the operating room

Additional Information

The hospital is a Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke and Level III neonatal intensive care units
Recognized for nursing excellence with Magnet® designation
Known for high clinical quality and patient safety ratings
Offers exposure to robotic surgery and specialized cardiac care programs
