Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Fishersville, Virginia
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Every other weekend required

Work Setting

General Emergency Department
Combined adult/pediatric skills
Non-trauma ED

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Relevant Experience / Skills

EKG reading and monitoring
Blood product administration
IV skills
CVA skills
PPE maintenance
Triage

Charting

Meditech preferred

Other Requirements

Government-issued photo ID
2 professional references
Current application/resume
Skills checklist for the applicable specialty
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
Tdap within 10 years or declination
Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if applicable to the season
Drug screen required within 30 days of start
Background check required
Must complete required pre-start facility documents and acknowledgements
