Medical Surgical - Neuro

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
12-hour day shifts, 3x12 schedule.
36 hours per week.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Ratio: 1:6.
Unit has 43 rooms/beds and includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
Primary patient population includes stroke patients and other neuro diagnoses, including possible neurosurgery patients, epilepsy, and traumatic/non-traumatic subdural hematomas.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
2 or more completed travel assignments.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
NIHSS.

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS.

Schedule and Float

Travelers are required to work every other weekend.
Floating is required to other MS/Tele areas and may include COVID care units.
Frequent floating may be required.
Block scheduling is not always guaranteed.

Additional Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed.
Navy scrubs.
