Registered Nurse - Circulator

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Clinton, Missouri
• Day shift: 4x9.5 hours, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On call: 3 weeknights per month and 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• Must be able to reach the hospital within 30 minutes when on call
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Registered Nurse - Circulator responsible for professional nursing care during patient appointments and coordinating patient care functions within the operating room with other disciplines and providers

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Missouri
• OR Circulate experience within the last year
• OR Circulate (1 year of experience)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Must be able to proficiently circulate in:

  • Ortho: total joints (knees, hips, shoulders), knee and shoulder arthroscopy, minor ortho procedures, orthopedic trauma (upper and lower extremity fractures)
  • OBGYN: cesarean sections, robotic hysterectomy, laparoscopic and vaginal hysterectomy, suction dilation and currettage (D&C), hysteroscopy, Myosure, Minerva, laparoscopic GYN procedures
  • General: robotic, laparoscopic, and open colons, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repairs, minor procedures, mastectomy/breast biopsies
  • Urology: cystoscopy, bladder sling, lithotripsy
  • Podiatry: amputations, bunionectomy, fractures, ligament repairs
  • ENT: ear tubes, tonsillectomy, sinus surgery, nasal fracture, nasal endoscopy, thyroidectomy, fine needle aspiration
  • Interventional Radiology: kyphoplasty, bone marrow biopsy, CT or US guided organ biopsies
• Two or more current references related to the requested position, with work in the past two years
• Employment application or resume required
• Skills checklist related to the requested position/unit
• I9 attestation confirming work eligibility in the US
• Criminal background check within 30 days of start
• SAM search within 30 days of start
• OIG search within 30 days of start
• National Sex Offender Search within 30 days of start
• Missouri MO EDL Search within 90 days of start
• Missouri MO FCSR Search Results required for MO placements
• Negative urine drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Proof of annual fit test using N95 mask
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire required if history of past positive
• 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer for Rubeola, Mumps, and Rubella
• 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer
• Flu vaccine or approved facility-specific declination during flu season
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement
• Personal Data Form completed onsite upon arrival

Preferred

• Hepatitis B titer or series
• Hepatitis A vaccine or titer
• COVID documentation
