ER
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Manchester, New Hampshire.
- Fast pace ER with a strong PEDS presence.
- 36 beds; average daily census 70; 160 visits/day.
- 12-hour evening shifts, 3:00 PM–3:30 AM, 36 hours/week.
- No call.
- Every other weekend required.
- Must work 2 of 3 Winter Holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of experience in fast-paced emergency department nursing.
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
- One completed travel assignment.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute.
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB).
- NIHSS.
- Experience with pediatric patient population.
- Experience with Epic.
- Floating expectations include assisting in ICU and ED for helping hands, patient sitting, and team nursing support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric experience.
Unit Details
- Special procedures: conscious sedation, Trauma Alert/Activation, Stroke Alert, Cath Lab Activation, and SANE Consultation.
- Special equipment: Point of Care US/USGPIV, EPOC, Belmont, Ranger, and Teleneurology.
- Unit systems: Omnicell, Epic, SBAR, and Voalte.
- Orientation: 36 hours, including 1 week of class/clinical time.
- Scrubs: any color.
