Medical Surgical
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Fishers, Indiana
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First timers accepted
- Locals not accepted
- Charge pay offered
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Cannot start with a pending license
Preferred
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- Lone medsurg unit in a community hospital
- Receives patients from OR, ED, and ICU/PCU downgrades
- Average 8–12 admits per 24 hours
- Target ratio is 5:1 with charge out of staffing; flexing to 6:1 can occur
Float Scope
- May float to ICU/PCU or ED to take med-surg patients
- Float is not likely to occur, but is possible
