Interventional Radiology

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Abilene, Texas.
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00–16:30.
• 40 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Covers Hendrick Main campus and Hendrick South.
• Start date within the next 3–5 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Texas.
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
• 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• E-Verify or attestation.
• Background check required.
• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 30 days of start.
• HHS/OIG required within 30 days of start.
• Texas DADS Employability Status Check required within 30 days of start.
• Texas Employee Misconduct Registry check required within 30 days of start.
• ARRT certification number must be provided.
• State license verification required within 30 days of start.
• NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start.
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement.
• Color blind testing.
• Competency exam.
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start and completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Negative TB or chest X-ray completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Rubeola (Measles) documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Mumps documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Rubella documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Hepatitis B documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Varicella documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Drug testing plan in place within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start date.
• Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required 10/1/2025 through 3/31/26.
• 2 references within 3 years of start.
• Resume/application required.
• Skills checklist required.
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing.
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for Telemetry nurses.
• Tech Cert Verification - National required within 30 days of start.

Preferred

• Neurointerventional experience strongly preferred.

Schedule

• 5x8s with call.
• Call coverage: Monday–Friday 16:45–07:30; Saturday–Sunday 07:00–07:00 every sixth week.
