MICU RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Seattle, Washington
- Start: ASAP
- Shift: 3x12
- Weekend work required
- Floating within the hospital is allowed
- Locals are accepted
- Pending license is not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Previous travel experience
- Medical ICU background
- Comfort with end-of-life care
Unit Details
- Ratios: 1:2
- MICU patients include medical and oncology ICU patients with adult respiratory distress syndrome, multi system organ failure, septic shock, GI bleeding, complicated pregnancy, oncology, renal failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Patients are in all phases of transplant needs
- Focus is family-centered care
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Guaranteed hours may be reduced by low census call-off or on-call placement in 4-hour increments, up to 1 shift of hours in a 2-week cycle
Additional Notes
- No call required
- No floating to sister hospitals
- No block schedule accommodation unless the posting states otherwise
- Scrubs: any color; OR personnel are provided scrubs
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking: $10.26 daily
