RN - Med Surg

Job Overview

Travel RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
1 year of Med Surg experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
Nephrology experience
Dialysis experience

Unit Details

20-bed transplant nephrology unit
Patient ratio: 1:6
Med/surg care with nephrology, kidney transplant, renal, and dialysis-related patients
Dialysis is performed off the unit

Scheduling

3 weekend shifts per month
No on-call requirement

Staffing and Workflow

Unit secretary available during the day
PCTs available
Unit educator available
Agency/contract nurses float first

Additional Notes

Level 1 trauma designation
Virtual nurse handles patient admissions so bedside nurses can focus on other patients
Royal blue scrubs; black scrub pants allowed
