Description

Oncology RN

Role

  • RN in Oncology
  • Shift: Nights, 1900-0700
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
  • Assignment length: 13 weeks
  • Number of openings: 1

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Oncology experience
  • Experience in an Inpatient setting
  • Med Surg experience
  • Driver's License
  • Experience and competence in drug titration
  • Chemo Certification
  • NIHSS, which may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start
  • Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Qualifications

  • Med surg, oncology, infusion experience

Unit Details

  • Floor: Oncology 7A
  • 23 beds
  • Patient ratio: 6:1, adjusted for certain chemotherapy regimens
  • Float: rotational basis within med surg cluster only

Patient Population

  • Oncology/hematology
  • Some med surg overflow
  • Comfort care

Additional Notes

  • Auto-offer
  • Weekend hours as required by facility
  • No call
  • Black scrubs required
  • Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
