Description
Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Labor and Delivery
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 1 opening
- 13-week contract
- Weekly orientation on Mondays
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered travel
Unit Details
- Labor and Delivery / Nursery / Postpartum
- 5 L&D beds
- Patient ratios: 1:1 on Pitocin, 1:2 otherwise
- Float requirements: as needed
- Call requirements: 2 shifts of call in a 6-week period
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend, rotating/as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
- Ability to interpret fetal heart rate strips
- Experience circulating for C-sections
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS
- Centricity experience
- Meditech experience
- Couplet care experience
Additional Clinical Notes
- OB Tracevue is used for charting strips
- The unit performs its own c-sections
