Description
ICU RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN assignment in Seattle, Washington
- Start date: 10/26 or 11/16
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- Required to work all scheduled shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Locals accepted
- Pending license not accepted, but compact license is accepted with required steps
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with conscious or moderate sedation
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- IV insertion skills
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- First-timers may be screened to the manager with strong experience
- IV start
- ICP
- PA lines
- Level 1 trauma experience
Float Scope
- May float within scope to other ICU units and boarder areas
Unit Details
- RN/7MB MCICU Med/CORICU
- Ratios: Days 1:2, Nights 1:3
- Patient population: 70% medical patients and 30% cardiology patients
Additional Notes
- On-call not required
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- Epic is the charting system
- Pyxis is the medication system
- Magnet, Teaching, Level I trauma facility
