Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Roanoke, Virginia
Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
13-week contract
Adult acute care unit with 1:6 ratios
May be required to float within skillset
May be required to work as charge and to precept

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Charge Experience
Proficient in Med/Surg care with experience in use of Rapid Response/Code teams
Skilled in peripheral line care/management
Non-invasive airway management
Oxygen administration and tanks
Experience with Epic

Scheduling

May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission

Pending license accepted only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state
Unit cares for patients with elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladders, and cellulitis
