Description
CT Tech
Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
- Shift: 4x10 days, Monday-Friday
- Weekend schedule: Occasional Saturday
- On-call: No
- Float scope: May float within scope for x-ray coverage
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Locals: Not accepted; candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist with 1 year of experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT (R)
- ARRT (CT)
- Experience with X-ray imaging of extremities
- Experience with X-ray imaging of abdomen/GI
- Experience with X-ray imaging of spine/pelvis
- Experience with X-ray imaging of head/chest/thorax
- Experience with X-ray imaging of musculoskeletal
- IV insertion skills
- Experience with IV contrast injection
Preferred Qualifications
- Neonates
- Infants
- Fluoroscopy studies
- Enema studies
Assignment Details
- Outpatient clinic
- Most patients are mobile
- Sees many patients for follow-up cancer diagnosis
- Duties include starting IVs, running i-STAT for labs, injecting contrast, and post-processing images

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
