Stepdown Neuro
Role Overview
- Travel/Contract RN in Seattle, Washington
- Unit: RN/ MS/Tele/Neuro
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Hours per week: 36
- Ratio: 1:5
- Travelers float first to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- IV start capability
- Care for tracheostomy
- Level 1 trauma care
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Strong neuro experience for first-time travelers
- Level 1 trauma experience
Schedule / Staffing Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have strong neuro experience
- On-call is not required
- Block scheduling is not accepted
- Locals are accepted
- Facility may call off 1 shift per every 2-week pay period
Additional Notes
- Patient population includes neurosurgery, neurology, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, craniectomy, aneurysm clipping and coiling, spinal cord injury, strokes, seizure, epilepsy, change in mental status, and telemetry
- Magnet, teaching, Level 1 trauma facility
- 500 staffed beds
- Scrub color: Blue
- Epic charting
- Daily onsite parking is available at additional cost
