Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Experience providing respiratory care to adult patients
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to adult patients in a hospital setting
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care interventions as directed by physicians
• Monitor patient responses and modify care plans as needed
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document all respiratory care provided in accordance with hospital policies
