Key Job Details – Interventional Radiology Technologist (Baltimore, MD)
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21201 – Prime access to the Inner Harbor, dining, and cultural attractions
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Unit
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 17:30)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2480-$2660
- On-call: Required; approx. 5 on-call shifts per 8-week schedule (includes weeknights, weekends, holidays)
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
- Floating: May be required within Interventional Radiology specialty
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Unit Census: Average 18 patients per day
Qualifications – Interventional Radiology Tech Jobs
- Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience (neuro/vascular IR skills preferred)
- Active Maryland state license or Compact License required
- ARRT-R certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
- Comfortable floating within Interventional Radiology specialty
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two professional references from recent employers (one supervisor/manager, one charge RN acceptable)
- Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from the facility
Responsibilities – Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures: angiography, stent placement, embolization, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, vascular access
- Set up and operate specialized imaging equipment (Philips, Siemens, ultrasound, fluoroscopy)
- Maintain sterile field and assist with scrub duties during procedures
- Accurately monitor and document all procedures using hospital systems
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent interventional radiology cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including lift teams, rapid response, and unit secretary
- Float within the hospital as needed to support patient care in other units
- Adhere to all isolation precautions, infection control, and safety protocols
