CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Morristown, NJ 07960 (New Jersey healthcare job)
• Setting: Hospital Radiology – CT Scanning Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel CT Technologist
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: March 14, 2026
• Duration: 10 weeks
• Shifts: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 7pm–8am (Overnight, no call)
• Shift Duration: 13-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 39 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2340–$2510

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• High School diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Radiographer Technical training program (School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program)
• Active ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certifications (required for CT Technologist jobs)
• New Jersey State X-Ray License (NJDEP)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans following established protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process
• Prepare and organize medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for CT procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure cleanliness of equipment and CT rooms
• Communicate clearly with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to provide clinical support and alleviate anxiety
• Verify patient identification and monitor patient condition before and after contrast administration
• Ensure all relevant medical records, prior reports, labs, and patient history are available for review
• Initiate emergency response protocols in the event of complications
• Participate in daily inventory management, stocking, and equipment maintenance
• Report expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications to lead staff
• Maintain QA/QC standards for daily, monthly, and ACR compliance
• Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols as required
• Coordinate emergent and unscheduled CT procedure requests with other hospital departments
• Notify radiologist promptly of any unusual findings to ensure optimal patient care
