CT Technologist Job Details
- Job Title: Travel CT Technologist – Night Shift
- Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania 18510
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – CT Scan Unit
- Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract
- Start Date: December 29, 2025
- End Date: March 31, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour night shifts (8:30pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Schedule: Off weekends; weekend call every 4th weekend; minimal weekday call; Memorial Day shift 3:00pm – 11:30pm
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,490 – $2,670
CT Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT Specialty Training Program
- Current CT Certification (ARRT or equivalent required)
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging, radiation safety, and medical equipment management
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple CT systems and protocols
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Plan and perform all CT procedures and post-processing using advanced imaging technology and established protocols
- Maintain and update imaging protocols based on clinical criteria and guidelines (including ImageGently)
- Prepare, position, and shield patients for CT scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Perform CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging (Carotid, Head, Vertebral, Run-Offs, PE, TAVR, EVAR, Cardiac)
- Apply knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and physics to optimize scan quality and minimize patient dose
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and procedures
- Provide care for patients across a range of ages and clinical needs in a hospital environment
