CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Saint Marys, PA 15857 (Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Hospital – CT Tech Unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:30 – 07:00 or 23:00 – 07:00); variable lates and overnights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel CT Technologist Contract
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 3 rooms, 24 beds
• Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams
• Weekend Coverage: No weekends until after December 13th; 3-4 weekend shifts per contract
• Holiday Coverage: 1 holiday shift required
• Orientation: 35 hours

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience (CT Tech jobs)
• Required Certifications: ARRT CT, ARRT R, and BLS
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Ability to complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and Childline registration promptly upon contract signing
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• First-time travel healthcare professionals welcome
• No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius)

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans for trauma, acute care, outpatient, and emergency department patients
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques: 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, volume rendering, and region of interest measurement
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed
• Maintain radiation safety standards and follow isolation precautions
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using Cerner
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
