Qualifications – Mammography Technologist

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
• Registered Technologist (R) or Registered Technologist (R)(M) with ARRT certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations, quality control, and quality assurance standards for mammography

Key Responsibilities – Mammography Tech

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using ionizing radiation in accordance with established protocols
• Ensure precise breast positioning, exposure techniques, and accurate evaluation of imaging parameters
• Combine technical expertise and patient care to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Exercise independent professional judgment and critical thinking during imaging procedures
• Communicate effectively and provide compassionate, patient-centered care to diverse populations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
• Maintain compliance with all safety and radiation protection guidelines
