• Shift: Night shift, 5x8-hour shifts (22:30 - 06:59), Sunday through Saturday

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,640 - $1,770

Medical Lab Scientist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience required (first-time travelers welcome)
• Active ASCP certification required; ASCP-MLS and BLS preferred
• Blood Bank experience is required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Active Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two satisfactory professional references from recent employers
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Medical Lab Scientist Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, specimen collection, and analysis
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results
• Adhere to quality assurance and control protocols
• Float within the hospital laboratory as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Participate in orientation and ongoing laboratory training as required
