Hospital MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Washington Township, NJ (08080) – South Jersey healthcare jobs
• Setting: Hospital, clinical imaging department
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: February 23, 2026
• End Date: May 25, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,240 – $2,400
• Scrub Color: Black
• Equipment: GE MRI, PACS
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating: May float to Jefferson Stratford and Jefferson Cherry Hill Campuses
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday required
• First Time Travelers: Accepted
• No On-Call

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Active New Jersey state license – required for New Jersey MRI jobs
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) certifications
• BLS certification
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Ability to float to Jefferson Stratford and Cherry Hill campuses as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Valid references and copies of certifications required
• Must complete compliance labs within 48 hours of signing

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for adult patients in hospital and outpatient settings
• Operate GE MRI equipment and utilize PACS for imaging procedures
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed
• Ensure radiation safety and follow all isolation precautions
• Start peripheral IVs and monitor patients during MRI procedures
• Conduct a wide range of MRI studies: cardiac, breast, chest, abdomen, pelvis, brain, spine, extremities, and more
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques (diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spin echo, etc.)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory services and patient transportation
• Document all procedures and patient information accurately in Epic
• Float to other hospital campuses as required
