- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00); scheduled Saturday & Sunday plus Monday or Friday
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,930
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist / Computed Tomography Technologist experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Previous travel CT Tech experience required (travel CT technologist preferred)
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Valid District of Columbia CT Technologist license required at time of submission
- BLS certification preferred
- Proficiency with Siemens and GE CT scanners, PACS (Visage), and performing contrast and non-contrast studies (abdomen, chest, head)
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, ALARA principles, isolation precautions/PPE, and clinical documentation
- Two (2) supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures following ARRT standards, hospital protocols, and diagnostic imaging best practices
- Prepare and position patients, verify orders, complete safety screenings, and assess for contraindications to contrast
- Operate Siemens and GE CT scanners and PACS to acquire, process, and transmit diagnostic images for radiologist review
- Administer contrast agents as authorized and monitor patients per protocol; perform IV contrast injections where applicable
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety, infection prevention protocols, and proper use of PPE during night shift operations
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support urgent and routine patient care during night shifts
- Troubleshoot equipment and image quality issues; escalate to biomedical service teams or leadership as needed
- Accurately document procedures, patient interactions, and imaging findings in electronic health records (EHR / RIS)
