Join a dynamic healthcare team in Scranton, Pennsylvania as a Hospital MRI Technologist on a 13-week travel assignment. Work nights at a Level 1 trauma hospital using advanced Siemens and Philips MRI systems, deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging, and support urgent and routine patient care. Scranton (zip 18510) offers a welcoming community, a vibrant downtown, and easy access to outdoor recreation in the nearby Pocono Mountains.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240 - $2,400
- Location: Scranton, PA 18510 — Northeastern Pennsylvania / Pocono Mountains
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift – Saturday 7:00pm–7:30am, Sunday 7:00pm–7:30am, plus one weekday night
- Hours: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Setting: Hospital — Level 1 Trauma Unit (hospital MRI job, trauma imaging experience)
- Type: Travel MRI Technologist / On-site

Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience, ideally in a Level 1 trauma hospital or high-acuity setting
- Valid ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification (required)
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- Preferred experience with Siemens 1.5T or 3T systems (Aera, Sola, Skyra, Vida) and Philips MRI systems
- Strong understanding of MRI safety, protocols, and patient screening for implantable devices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams across a range of patient populations, including trauma and emergency cases
- Operate and optimize Siemens and Philips MRI equipment, ensuring image quality and adherence to protocols
- Ensure patient safety and MRI screening, including management of contraindications and implantable devices
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to prioritize and triage urgent imaging needs in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Maintain accurate patient records, exam documentation, and compliance with hospital protocols and imaging standards
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear instructions to reduce anxiety and motion during scans
- No call or holiday shifts required; occasional on-call may be possible
