Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 24, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
- Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA (02462) — Greater Boston / Middlesex County, Massachusetts
- Setting: Mammography Unit / Breast Imaging
- Employment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist, On-site
- Guaranteed Hours: 39 hours per week
- Shift Schedule:
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 12-hour and partial shifts
- Start Date: Based on credentialing clearance
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist with mammography experience (screening and/or diagnostic mammography)
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- RTRM (Mammography) certification
- Valid Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license
- Completion of required onboarding, orientation, and health screenings (e.g., MMR, TB test, health statement)
- Strong communication, patient care, and customer-service skills; experience in breast imaging and patient positioning
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and ACR/MQSA safety standards
- Prepare and position patients for mammography exams, ensuring comfort, privacy, and clear communication throughout the exam
- Operate and maintain mammography and related imaging equipment; follow quality assurance procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and image quality control logs
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to support timely and accurate breast imaging services
- Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and compliance guidelines for mammography and diagnostic imaging
