Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,740 - $2,940
• Location: York, Pennsylvania (17403) — York, PA travel pharmacist opportunity
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 26, 2026 – August 25, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (06:00 – 14:00), 40 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd or 4th Saturday (8:00 – 16:30)
• Facility: Tobacco and fragrance-free hospital
• Vaccines: COVID-19 & seasonal flu required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Floating: May float to Apple Hill (approximately 2 miles)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience in inpatient or outpatient oncology or acute care pharmacy
• Pennsylvania pharmacist license required (pending applications considered if submitted with application)
• IV-trained with experience preparing hazardous and non-hazardous medications
• EPIC Beacon experience required for chemotherapy/infusion charting and medication management
• Certifications: PharmD or RPh; Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification; IV certification
• Comfort providing care for COVID-19 patients and adhering to infection control protocols
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed during contract

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications, including hazardous (chemotherapy) and non-hazardous drugs
• Provide clinical dosing, compounding, and therapeutic monitoring for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform sterile technique and IV medication administration (piggyback, IV push) and manage IV admixtures
• Support oncologic, pediatric, geriatric, and renal dosing requirements and participate in antimicrobial stewardship
• Use EPIC Beacon for chemotherapy ordering, charting, and medication reconciliation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care as an acute care pharmacist
• Float between York Hospital and Apple Hill as needed to meet staffing demands
• Adhere to hospital policies including tobacco and fragrance-free environment and safety/compliance standards
