• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,860 (competitive travel respiratory therapist pay)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist certification (RRT) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a hospital respiratory therapy setting
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including possible weekends and holidays
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
• State licensure or ability to obtain a Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license prior to start

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult patients in the hospital setting as a Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Manage mechanical ventilation, ventilator adjustments, and ventilator weaning per protocols
• Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication administration, and chest physiotherapy
• Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy, including arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and clinical adjustments
• Provide tracheostomy care, extubation support, and participate in emergency/rapid response teams
• Document treatments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
