Job Details

• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104 (University City)
• Setting: Hospital – acute care / trauma center
• Shift: Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; every other weekend required
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $2,030
• Start Date: June 1, 2026

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an RRT, with hospital/acute care experience preferred
• High-volume trauma experience required (trauma center, emergency response)
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care and bedside clinical support to patients across acute care and trauma units
• Respond to trauma and emergency situations as an integral member of the multidisciplinary clinical team
• Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments, including ventilator management and mechanical ventilation support
• Perform airway management and other respiratory procedures per hospital protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care, ventilator settings, and progress accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Maintain respiratory equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and support infection control practices
