Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience required
• Recent hospital laboratory or clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety standards
• Ability to perform testing with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, workflows, and patient care demands

Medical Laboratory Scientist Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures
• Analyze specimens and report accurate test results in a timely manner
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Follow quality assurance, infection control, and laboratory safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Document testing activities and maintain compliance with regulatory and departmental standards
• Assist with specimen processing, validation of results, and workflow prioritization as needed
