• Setting: Adult acute care hospital / respiratory therapy
• Location: Hummelstown, PA area, with convenient access to Hershey and the greater Harrisburg region
• Start Date: 08/25/2026
• Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• On-Call: No
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,790 - $1,920

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience required
• Current Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license required
• BLS required
• ACLS required for adult hospital postings
• PALS required
• Experience in a large hospital and trauma setting strongly preferred
• Intermediate care or ICU respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Ability to provide basic respiratory care and manage mechanical ventilators
• Must be available for night shifts and every third weekend

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy services to adult hospital patients
• Perform basic respiratory care interventions and ongoing patient assessments
• Manage, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilators with accuracy and attention to detail
• Support patients across intermediate care and ICU-level settings as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the clinical care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements
• Provide dependable overnight coverage in a fast-paced acute care environment
