- Float Requirement: May float between campuses at the facility's discretion
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Equipment: GE Ventilators; Hamilton preferred
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license in hand prior to submission
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- CRT certification preferred
- High school diploma and college diploma and/or transcripts required
- Previous travel respiratory therapist experience preferred
- Experience supporting adult critical care, emergency department, med/surg, and PCU patients preferred
- Must be comfortable with urgent credentialing timelines and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy hospital environment
- Perform and support a wide range of respiratory therapy treatments and interventions
- Set up and manage aerosol therapies, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy equipment
- Assist with ventilator management, troubleshooting, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Support ABG interpretation and respiratory assessments as part of patient care planning
- Deliver care for patients with COPD, asthma, cancer, and other complex respiratory conditions
- Provide trach care, suctioning, airway placement, and pulmonary hygiene support
- Maintain safe, efficient respiratory therapy workflows across med/surg floors and PCU settings
- Float between campuses when needed and adapt to a fast-paced hospital setting
