• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday)
• Floating: May float between pediatric units, NICU, and adult units within skill set

Job Requirements

• 1.5+ years of Respiratory Therapist experience required
• NICU and PICU experience required
• Active NJ or compact respiratory therapist license required at time of submission
• BLS and NBRC required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; may be obtained onsite if needed
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays unless otherwise specified

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care for neonatal critical care and pediatric patients
• Perform blood gas collection, ventilator management, BiPAP/high-flow initiation, medication administration, and chest physiotherapy
• Support in-house transport, code response, and urgent respiratory interventions
• Assist with airway management, including intubation support, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure safe, effective use of high-flow nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators
• Float within the assigned skill set to support patient care across designated hospital units as needed
