• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 - $2,670
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Call Requirement: Every third week
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT(MR), ARRT(R), or ARMIT required
• Active New Jersey radiologic technology license required or obtainable prior to start
• Strong knowledge of MRI imaging techniques, patient positioning, and patient safety
• Experience with Cerner charting preferred
• Ability to remain flexible and float within your skillset as needed
• Comfort working with contrast administration and peripheral IV starts
• COVID-19 vaccination with booster required; medical/religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in a fast-paced hospital imaging environment
• Explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and families
• Support imaging for neuro, spine, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and other advanced MRI studies
• Prepare and administer contrast media as ordered and appropriate
• Start and manage peripheral IVs when needed
• Use GE MRI equipment, PACS, Omnicell, and Cerner PowerChart effectively
• Apply isolation precautions and PPE guidelines consistently
• Collaborate with the healthcare team using clear SBAR communication
• Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism while delivering exceptional patient care
