CVOR Surgical Technologist / OR Tech Travel Job in Boston, MA

Travel to Boston, Massachusetts for an exciting CVOR Surgical Technologist / OR Tech opportunity in a fast-paced acute care operating room. Join a dynamic cardiovascular surgery team supporting cardiac and general surgical cases in one of the nation’s top healthcare hubs.

Assignment Type: Travel allied health job
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 08/09/2026
Shift Duration: 12-hour days
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, plus on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
Charting System: Cerner
Work Environment: 23-bed OR with weekend rotations possible

Job Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of operating room or CVOR experience required
Current CST certification required
Current BLS certification required
Cardiac surgical experience strongly preferred
Travel experience preferred
Ability to support additional surgical cases when cardiac volume allows
Comfort with on-call shifts and potential weekend rotation
Strong adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced operating room setting

Responsibilities

Provide skilled support in the cardiovascular operating room during surgical procedures
Assist the surgical team with setup, instrumentation, and intraoperative workflow
Maintain a sterile field and ensure safe, efficient operating room practices
Support cardiac cases as a priority while assisting with other cases as needed
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to promote excellent patient care
Adapt to on-call needs and changing case volumes within the unit
Document and communicate effectively using the Cerner charting system
