Job Requirements
- 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Active Ohio state license in hand prior to submission
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
- ACLS and BLS required
- CRT and HS/college diplomas or transcripts required
- Epic experience preferred
- Previous travel respiratory therapist experience preferred
- Experience with adult critical care and respiratory support procedures strongly preferred
- Must be comfortable working nights and weekends
- Flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Perform and support treatments including aerosol therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, and ventilator support
- Assist with ABG interpretation, pulmonary hygiene, suctioning, airway management, and extubation support
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators
- Support patients with diagnoses such as COPD, asthma, and cancer-related respiratory needs
- Float as needed between campuses based on facility needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic charting system
- Deliver compassionate, team-oriented care in a fast-paced hospital environment
