• Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week; weekends required

• Setting: Hospital-based respiratory therapy in med/surg and progressive care units
• Charting System: Epic
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Floating: May be required between campuses or to another hospital location within the system

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Active Ohio respiratory care license in hand prior to submission
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), ACLS, and BLS required
• High school diploma plus college diploma or transcripts required
• Previous travel respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Experience with adult critical care and acute care respiratory therapy
• Comfort working in a fast-paced academic hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients across hospital units
• Perform respiratory treatments, aerosol setup, suctioning, airway support, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with ventilator management, weaning, extubation support, and troubleshooting alarms
• Support patient care for COPD, asthma, cancer, and other pulmonary conditions
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams in med/surg and progressive care settings
• Use clinical judgment to respond to changing patient needs in a high-acuity environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and safety standards
