Job Requirements
- RRT credential required
- Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred and reflected for this role
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- NRP required for NICU support
- Experience in a tertiary or teaching hospital strongly preferred
- Level I trauma experience preferred
- Comfort working across NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency care, adult acute care, and critical care
- Flexible, team-oriented, and an excellent communicator
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across varied patient assignments throughout the facility
- Support acute and critical care patients with a patient-centered approach
- Float as needed to NICU, PICU, pediatrics, emergency, and adult critical care areas
- Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators and other support devices
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver safe, effective treatment
- Respond to call requirements and maintain dependable coverage for the unit
- Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain high standards of clinical practice
