Job Requirements

  • RRT credential required
  • Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred and reflected for this role
  • BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
  • NRP required for NICU support
  • Experience in a tertiary or teaching hospital strongly preferred
  • Level I trauma experience preferred
  • Comfort working across NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency care, adult acute care, and critical care
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and an excellent communicator

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care across varied patient assignments throughout the facility
  • Support acute and critical care patients with a patient-centered approach
  • Float as needed to NICU, PICU, pediatrics, emergency, and adult critical care areas
  • Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators and other support devices
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver safe, effective treatment
  • Respond to call requirements and maintain dependable coverage for the unit
  • Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain high standards of clinical practice
