- Duration: 26 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $2,000
- Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and participation in call rotation as needed
- Call: Approximately one call shift per month, or as required by the department
- EMR: EPIC
- Dress Code: Scrubs provided or flexible
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience
- At least 1 year of travel respiratory therapist experience
- Experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital and Level I trauma environment
- Strong background in acute care pediatrics, emergency department, and adult acute/critical care
- NICU and PICU experience preferred
- Cardiothoracic experience preferred
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- NRP required for NICU coverage
- Flexible, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively in a fast-moving clinical setting
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across varied inpatient areas throughout the facility
- Support acute and critical care patients with a strong focus on quality and patient safety
- Work alongside a large interdisciplinary respiratory therapy team to meet changing departmental needs
- Manage patient assignments with acuity ranging from acute care to critical care
- Respond to call requirements and contribute to the weekend rotation
- Adapt to coverage needs across adult, pediatric, NICU, PICU, and emergency settings as assigned
- Operate and support a range of respiratory equipment, including Drager, Hamilton, V60/V30, Trilogy, Airvo, and Vapotherm systems
- Deliver compassionate, reliable care while maintaining excellent teamwork and communication
