Travel Registered Dietitian – Hospital Rehabilitation Assignment in Columbus, Ohio

• Role: Registered Dietitian / Hospital Dietitian
• Setting: Hospital-based rehabilitation environment
• Employment Type: Travel assignment

• Shift: Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,880 - $2,010
• Location: Columbus, OH 43201

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition or a related field
• Current Registered Dietitian credential
• Current state licensure or certification, if required by the state
• At least 1 year of experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, therapeutic diets, and nutrition support
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments, establish nutrition goals, and monitor patient progress
• Develop and manage enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens in collaboration with pharmacy and medical staff
• Provide clear, accurate medical record documentation
• Collaborate with speech therapy on diet progression and transitional feeding
• Clarify admission orders to ensure diet, supplement, and nutrition support orders align with facility standards
• Consider religious, cultural, and ethnic factors when developing nutrition care plans
• Educate patients, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics and care plans
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate nutrition recommendations to the care team
• Support performance improvement efforts, including data collection and analysis
• Work with food service staff on modified diets, menu planning, meal rounds, and tray audits
• Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and professional registration requirements
