Job Details
- Role: Registered Dietitian / Hospital Dietitian
- Setting: Hospital-based rehabilitation environment
- Employment Type: Travel assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Day shift, 8-hour shifts
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 40 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,880 - $2,010
- Location: Columbus, OH 43201
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition or a related field
- Current Registered Dietitian credential
- Current state licensure or certification, if required by the state
- At least 1 year of experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, therapeutic diets, and nutrition support
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments, establish nutrition goals, and monitor patient progress
- Develop and manage enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens in collaboration with pharmacy and medical staff
- Provide clear, accurate medical record documentation
- Collaborate with speech therapy on diet progression and transitional feeding
- Clarify admission orders to ensure diet, supplement, and nutrition support orders align with facility standards
- Consider religious, cultural, and ethnic factors when developing nutrition care plans
- Educate patients, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics and care plans
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate nutrition recommendations to the care team
- Support performance improvement efforts, including data collection and analysis
- Work with food service staff on modified diets, menu planning, meal rounds, and tray audits
- Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and professional registration requirements
