CT Technologist Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
  • Experience with adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, pediatric acute care, and adult ICU required
  • Strong background in abdominal, pelvic, chest, head/neck, spine, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and multiplanar reconstruction imaging
  • Experience preparing and administering contrast media
  • GE and Siemens equipment experience required
  • PACS experience required
  • BLS and ARRT-R required
  • Active Maryland Radiologic Technologist license required at time of start, or a compact license if applicable
  • References required

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT scans for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Review requisitions for completeness and verify patient and exam details prior to imaging
  • Select appropriate CT imaging protocols and adjust equipment for optimal image quality
  • Administer oral and IV contrast as appropriate and document contrast use accurately
  • Complete screenings, consents, paperwork, and exam documentation in a timely manner
  • Localize pathology through high-quality scanning procedures across multiple body systems
  • Support efficient workflow while maintaining safe, patient-centered care
  • Float within scope as needed to meet facility needs
