- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 - $1,620
- Floating: Required within the Metro Region as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required
Job Requirements
- Active Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care respiratory therapy experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience in adult critical care and the emergency department preferred
- Comfortable caring for patients across the lifespan, including pediatrics
- Strong knowledge of ABG interpretation, ventilator management, and respiratory assessment
- Ability to work nights, float as needed, and adapt to changing patient needs
- High-risk experience preferred, with openness to onsite training
Responsibilities
- Provide general and critical care respiratory therapy across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations
- Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including initiation, maintenance, and weaning
- Perform airway management, suctioning, extubation support, and intubation assistance
- Administer respiratory medications and therapies, including aerosol treatments and oxygen delivery systems
- Support rapid response events, emergency codes, and CPR as needed
- Collect and analyze blood gases, obtain specimens, and monitor spontaneous breathing parameters
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric resuscitation when needed
- Maintain respiratory equipment and support line and tubing responsibilities as assigned
- Deliver compassionate patient education and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
