• Weekend Requirement: Weekends required
• Floating: May be required to float between campuses as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active Ohio State License in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• RRT certification required
• High school diploma or official high school transcripts required during compliance
• Experience with adult critical care, pulmonary care, and acute care respiratory procedures preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Must be comfortable with strict compliance and credentialing timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a hospital acute care setting
• Perform and support treatments including aerosol therapies, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with ventilator management, weaning, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
• Interpret arterial blood gases and support respiratory diagnostics as needed
• Support patients with COPD, asthma, cancer, and other complex respiratory conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective patient care across Med/Surg and PCU areas
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols and compliance requirements
