Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel Cath Lab Tech / Cardiovascular Technologist
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,180
- Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Call Requirements: 5-7 call shifts per month, including scheduled weekend call
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend as needed; holidays as needed
- Location: Clinton, MD 20735
- Setting: Busy cath lab with opportunities to support IR and EP procedures as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
- At least one prior travel assignment required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required
- Valid Maryland license or compact license required at time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong experience in interventional cardiac cath lab procedures preferred
- Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Comfortable with call coverage, float support, and a team-based workflow
- Flu vaccination required
Responsibilities
- Assist with a broad range of cardiac and vascular procedures, including R&L heart caths, primary PCI, angioplasty, and stent placement
- Support advanced cardiovascular cases such as EP studies, ablations, pacemaker placements, IABP support, and Swan-Ganz procedures
- Float to IR and EP as needed to support smooth patient care delivery
- Prepare the procedure room, maintain a sterile field, and assist with scrub and circulating duties
- Monitor patients and support hemodynamic monitoring throughout procedures
- Document accurately in MacLab/CardioLab and help ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver safe, high-quality cardiovascular care
- Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled
