Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential/license
• Ability to provide quality respiratory care with minimal supervision
• Experience with ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol therapy, and nebulizer treatments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy documentation and patient charting practices
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate respiratory treatment plans
• Administer physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, including invasive and non-invasive therapies
• Operate, monitor, and maintain ventilatory equipment and mechanical ventilation systems
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and arterial punctures according to policy
• Support patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed
• Conduct oximetry, capnography, pulmonary function studies, and basic EKG/arrhythmia recognition
• Assist with respiratory-related procedures and collaborate with physicians regarding patient response to treatment
• Document treatments, assessments, and outcomes accurately in patient records
• Participate in handoff communication and maintain accurate charging and data entry
• Follow safety, quality, and equipment maintenance procedures while delivering exceptional patient care
